Who is Apolo Anton Ohno?

Do you know Apolo? Have you
met him?
I don't know Apolo on a personal basis. I did
meet him at the World Cup held in Salt Lake City
in February 2003. He is just as nice and gracious
as I thought he would be.
When did you start the AAO
Portal?
February 28, 2002. Back then, the site was only
one page. It's been growing ever since.
Why did you start the AAO
Portal?
I'd written about Apolo in my weblog, eclectica,
and received hundreds of hits from people looking
for information on him. My guestbook was inundated
with entries from people saying how much they
liked him. Some of them actually thought I knew
Apolo, even though I'd never said anything like
that.
Since I was interested in Apolo,
anyway, and people seemed so desperate for information
on him, I started compiling all the articles/interviews
and pictures of him that I found and put them
together on one page.
Why did you pick the title
"AAO Portal" for this site?
I never meant for my site to be a community, like
the Ohno Zone. My site is meant to be a jumping
off point or opening to all things Apolo, a portal.
Of course, I want you all to come back, though!
