Apolo Shatters U.S. Record in 3000-Meters, Places 4th Overall at World Cup Competition

Beijing World Cup Results: Apolo Places 4th in 500-meter Finals
Apolo was the top American skater at the short track World Cup competition in Beijing, China on Saturday: He reached the finals of the men's 500-meters where he finished fourth with a time of 42.740 seconds.

The U.S. men's 5000-meter relay squad of Apolo Ohno, Rusty Smith, J.P. Kepka and Mike Kooreman finished second to Canada in their semifinal to advance to Sunday's final. (Information courtesy U.S. Speedskating. Click here to read the full release.)

Beijing World Cup Results: Apolo Places 3rd in 1500-meter
Apolo captured his fourth medal of the World Cup season by placing third in the 1500-meter race on Friday. Congrats, Apolo! The U.S. men's relay team also advanced to the sem-final. Read the full release from U.S. Speedskating here.
