Apolo Shatters U.S. Record in 3000-Meters, Places 4th Overall at World Cup Competition

Beijing World Cup Results: Apolo Places 4th in 500-meter Finals
Apolo was the top American skater at the short track World Cup competition in Beijing, China on Saturday: He reached the finals of the men's 500-meters where he finished fourth with a time of 42.740 seconds.
The U.S. men's 5000-meter relay squad of Apolo Ohno, Rusty Smith, J.P. Kepka and Mike Kooreman finished second to Canada in their semifinal to advance to Sunday's final.

Beijing World Cup Results: Apolo Places 3rd in 1500-meter
Apolo captured his fourth medal of the World Cup season by placing third in the 1500-meter race on Friday. Congrats, Apolo! The U.S. men's relay team also advanced to the sem-final. Read the full release from U.S. Speedskating here.
