U.S. Short Track Championships - Day 1 Results
Apolo claimed wins in the men's 4-lap and 9-lap time trials today and broke his own American record in the 4-lap time trial. (Click here for more details and the standings after one day of competition.) Way to go, Apolo!

Today marks the Apolo Portal's first anniversary. I can hardly believe that a year has passed already! It's been a wonderful year for Apolo, and I'm so glad that I've been here to help document his accomplishments and help keep everyone updated. I can't wait to see what the next year brings!

U.S. Short Track Championships
Apolo will be competing in the U.S. Short Track Championships, February 28 through March 1, in Bay City, Michigan.
You can listen to the Championships live on OvalAudio.com. (Racing begins at 9 a.m. EST on Feb. 28.)

Ohno Wins 2002-03 Short Track World Cup Title
Congratulations to Apolo for winning the 2002-03 Short Track World Cup Title! This is his second time to win the Title. More info. here and Overall World Ranking.
I am thrilled by Apolo's performance this season. His ability to come back so strongly after taking a break from skating last year is impressive. Apolo has shown great wisdom in knowing how much training he needs and knowing how to balance that with other activities in his life. We're all celebrating with you, Apolo!
World Cup # 6 Day 2 Results
Apolo won a Bronze today in the 1000m and also helped anchor the U.S. men's relay team to a Bronze in the 5000m. According to coach Steven Gough, the men skated their fastest relay of the season. Way to go, guys!

The U.S. men's team also advanced to the 5000m relay final, which will be raced tomorrow.

Taped broadcast of ISU World Cup #5 airs on NBC at 2:00 p.m. EST. It will be an hour packed with excitement. Don't miss it!
World Cup # 6 Day 1 Results
Apolo won Silver in the 1500m tonight and anchored the U.S. relay team to a first place finish in the first relay heat. The relay semi-finals and the final will be raced on Saturday and Sunday, February 16 and 17. Congratulations to Apolo and U.S. team members Rusty, Derek, and Misi on a job well done! You guys rock!

Attending the World Cup was seriously one of the coolest things I've ever experienced. If you have the chance to attend a World Cup, do it. You will not be disappointed! I have lots of pictures to share; and I will probably write up a report, to share all the details with you all.

Great news: I've obtained a press/media pass for the SLC World Cup. Hopefully, this will allow me take some great pictures to share with all of you and bring first-hand updates from the World Cup.
